The small pet funeral set is designed to help people commemorate the life of their deceased small pet. It is especially helpful for young children who’s first experience with death is the loss of their first pet. It’s intended that the child paints the rock/headstone first. Maybe writing the pets name on it. Then put the deceased pet in the coffin and pick a poem or prayer from the booklet or tell them to think of something nice to say about their pet to remember them. If the pet doesn’t take up the entire coffin you can also add some items in the coffin with the pet. Have the ceremony, bury the coffin someplace special and then mark the grave with the painted headstone. Hopefully you will put your pet to rest along with some of the sadness that goes along with the loss.
